This is the first full week of school, and Hank's social calendar is packed full. He has three parties this weekend. A birthday sleepover on Friday, with his buddy, Nick. Nick and Hank were in the same kindergarten class, they go to after-school care together, and if we ever get back in the habit of going to church, they'll be in the same Sunday School class, as well. Saturday brings two parties. The first is for his friend, Cara. Hank and Cara went to pre-school together, and are at the same school now, just in different classes. Her party is at the pool/playground. It's going to be extremly hot on Saturday, so I imagine the pool will get more play time than the monkeybars. The third party of the weekend is on Saturday night, for his friend, Sarah. Sarah and Hank went to pre-school together, but are now at different schools. Hank was a little concerned about going to Sarah's party because he's usually the only boy in that group of friends. There's typically five or six little girls, and Hank! Granted, this works in his favor a lot of the times. Who wouldn't want to be showered in attention by a bunch of cute girls? But, this time he was not looking forward to playing with princess stuff. Rest assured, Hankadoo, you won't be the only boy there! The girls won't make you wear a tiara!
I know that our calendar will only get busier in the weeks to come. Fall sports start next week. So, we'll add soccer practice, soccer games, baseball practice and baseball games to the mix of parties, and all the other things that I need to remember to write down.
