It's that time of year..

A lot changes in the spring. Not just the trees and flowers blooming, and the weather getting warm, it seems like we get really busy in the spring! After being lazy all winter, and being home all the time, spring rolls around and we are all of the sudden packed on the calendar, and out of the house all the time. The past week or so has been a blur. We've gone to the circus, we've had Hank's birthday party, the boys were on sprig break, we've had Hank's actual birthday, we've had soccer practice, we've gone to the Louisville Science Center, we've been in and out of the house a lot. And, I can tell. I have a huge things to do list, and I know without a doubt that I can't get it all done today. So, it's time to pick and choose. Going to the grocery is important, we need food. And, laundry is important, we need clean underwear. Going to Louisville to pick PJ up is important, he goes back to school tomorrow. Getting Austin to work is important, he needs his paycheck. And, if you ask Hank what's most important today, he's going to say FISHING! Hank is going fishing with his Grumps today. He's so excited! Dad caught several nice fish yesterday, and Hank is determined he's going to have the same luck today. We have his poles ready, we bought worms, his tackle box is stocked, and we tug his life jacket out of the closet since Grumps is taking him on the little boat. After the great fishermen return, Hank and MawMaw are going to plant flower seeds and work in the yard. They plant their flower seeds in the spring, and then track their progress all summer. Hankadoo loves this! And, he takes great pride in his zinnias, and sunflowers. There have been times where he's said, "Mom, we have to go out to MawMaw's so I can see how my flowers are doing!" I'm sure once the ground is ready for tomatoes and squash, he'll be out there with Grumps digging and working on the garden. They'll dig, water, weed, water, feed, etc. etc...and when that first tomato is ripe, Hank will pick it. It's that time of year! Soccer, Fishing, Gardening, the laundry doubles and my eyes stay red and watery. Ahhh, spring!
